Time Travel - An Unofficial Challenge
February Unofficial Challenge

Good evening fellow travellers! I have a third unofficial challenge for you.
- Please find a little disclaimer at the bottom.
- You can find the results of my first two challenges here:
My new challenge is very simple:
Your story must include Time Travel.
That's it.
I have always been fascinated with time travel and the effects it causes etc. I love the Back to the Future films, Marvel's Endgame had a crack at it which again, I loved, even Loki the TV show had some. Then there's books, Timeriders is a big one, a series that I loved. But almost all of these have slight variations on what 'the rules' are regarding time travel. So I want to know your take on it.
Criteria:
Short stories only please! I would like anything under 1000 words. This could be stretched, but not by a lot as I don't have loads of time nowadays, and as much as I would love to read full novels by everyone I simply don't have the time!
Please note: I will not disqualify if it's say 1089 words, but if you're verging on 1500-2000 we could be looking at a bit too much - honestly this will depend on how many entries I get.
Comment back!
- Once your story is published, comment on this post, and link your story otherwise I won't find it!
- I will add the stories I see in the comments onto this post, so check back after a few days to make sure your story got added, and if it didn't, comment again to give me a new notification.
- Yes, you absolutely can link stories already written and published if they fit the criteria!
- You may submit as many entries per person as you would like!! As long as they all fit the criteria :)
- Please link this challenge in your story as well, so others can get attracted to the challenge and add their own entries!
- And most importantly, have fun, enjoy yourself, and don't stress out too much, because I know I do!
P.S. Yes I did copy most of this wording from my previous challenge. Which was copied from my first challenge :)
Deadlines:
- I'm starting this challenge on the 1st February 2025, and the last submissions will be accepted on the 11:59 (GMT) 28th February 2025 (no leap year unfortunately).
- Depending on how many submissions there are will depend on the results, but I will aim for Sunday 16th March.
- Both my partner and I will read them and decide which we love the most!
Prizes?
Yes, you will get some prizes, I promise. I have a small pot that I can dip into, so I will gift $10 in total.
Prizes as follows;
1st: $5
2nd: $3
3rd: $2
Please come back to this page in early March and make sure your story got added to the post! If it didn't, once again nudge me and I'll sort it!
I think that's everything, if you have any questions comment them down below!
Thank you and enjoy!
Liam Storm
Disclaimer:
I would like to apologise for any confusion regarding my previous post, I would love to say I can actually time travel, but I'm afraid I can't. This post I made yesterday regarding the results I'm afraid was just a play on the challenge and will not impact the results in any way.

I currently work as a thatcher, but love the art of writing a narrative, currently I am working on putting my ideas onto paper and creating a book. In the meantime I create short stories to keep myself, fiancée and two dogs entertained.

I know I may be late but I was traveling out of country and internet was sketchy at best. Plus I was sketchy at best as well. :) I will still submit because I do so like this challenge: https://shopping-feedback.today/humor/head-of-the-gang%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cstyle data-emotion-css="w4qknv-Replies">.css-w4qknv-Replies{display:grid;gap:1.5rem;}

I love time travel - challenge accepted.
Just included this on my Unofficial Vocal Challenge list for February
Here you go sir. It is just slightly over the word count but Vocals count makes it look like it is more. Hope you enjoy the read, I am looking forward to the other submissions. https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/fifteen-years-54g1r0isi%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
This is very interesting! Challenge✨
Looking forward (backward?) to the entries. Great way to get people interested
Okay now I get your previous post. I just thought that it was the results of an unofficial challenge that I forgot about 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love time travel and can't wait to read all the entries!
I am now embarrassed that I did nbot catch on...it was brilliant and funny. Yikes...I hang my head in shame. Great challenge
haha, I loved the fakeout and quickly realised it was a sorta playful thing. Made me excited for this announcement. Thank you and well done for running another great challenge - I enjoyed the 1984 one...but will try to actually write something short enough that it qualifies this time!
I loved yesterday's story though! It set the tone wonderfully! I need to think...
