It's A Big Poem
Introduction
I am always looking for new things to write about but sometimes just being on Vocal throws things out that become prompts to create. Of course, there are always (well almost always) Challenges:
There is also the veritable cornucopia of prompts in Resources:
But this is something closer to home.
The music is "Something's Coming" from "Westside Story" by Todd Rundgren and Utopia.
My Thousandth Vocal Poem
I have currently published 997 pieces of poetry on Vocal. I have done a couple of very long ones including this which had a thousand words in its construction which was for a Vocal Challenge:
And this one which verges on being an epic the whole package being over 1,200 words:
I have started on a thousand-word poem for my thousandth poetic Vocal publication, although I will probably finish it before I publish 998 and 999, so it can sit and wait.
I suppose this is part of my fascination with numbers coming out, and I always try and celebrate my milestones in some form.
I don't know when it will be ready, it could be today or next week, but it will be here at some point.
Conclusion
I know this is a bit of a nothing post, but thank you for reading, you have my total appreciation.

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.

I always have a vision when I start to write of a long road stretching ahead waiting to be filled with many words to create a story. You certainly have filled such a road with your poetry,

If you share your goals it puts a tag on them that sets an expectation that it will get done. A thousand poems is a major achievement however long they might be.

Nine hundred is quite a lot and it encourages one to be disciplined in the arts. Very interesting - thanks for your info, inspiring!

I taught myself to post on a thread, but I cannot do the underline thing...where you click on it and get the story...clickable links i think they are called. Can you or one of the guys write something on it. people on here do not know how to do them. Your nothing post made me chuckle, so i am giving you an assignment, while I read your stories.
