Celebrating my third year on Vocal with my 301st story and an unofficial challenge! Yes, a challenge! Doing my happy dance! Are you ready?

Write a poem/lyrics to my prompt, "ASK ME IN DECEMBER."

Are you curious about the prompt? No! Why not? Here goes anyway. Before seeing my primary physician that's scheduled next week, today was my lab work day. Checking into the clinic, I presented my new insurance carrier card.

While checking in, commented that the previous insurance "Didn't work out and changed."

As the receptionist reviewed her computer screen, she asked, "How do you like this one?"

"It's April! We are only four months in. Ask me in December!" I replied.

Making a copy of my new card, she shook her head and acknowledged, "Yes!"

"Ask Me in December" sounds like a good song title," I sighed.

Of course, she agreed!

Your prompt and mission is to write me a poem/lyrics with the subtitle Ask me in December, Babs' unofficial Challenge.

Naturally, the poem has to be new and published in the Poet Community. It's your choice of poetry style format. You have until the end of April to submit your entry, closing the challenge on the 30th of April at 11:59 pm Central Standard Time.

As for word count, there is no minimum. No maximum. Take that back, your creation should be under 300 words maximum!

After publishing your work, simply link your poem/lyrics in comments.

The winner will receive a $15.00 tip. Second place will receive a $10.00 tip, and last but not least the runner up will receive a $5.00 tip.

Drumroll! Announcement of the winners will be on the 5th of May. For those who aren't familiar, it's Cinco de Mayo day in Texas! Because it is a festive and celebration day, it fits into my third year celebration on Vocal.

Looking forward to reading your poems/lyrics, good luck to y'all!
