Most Charming Route 66 Tourist Attractions Worth Seeing
Nat King Cole famously sang "get your kicks on Route 66" and this has never been truer as I attempt to rundown the best Route 66 tourist attractions around. The road itself runs from Chicago to Los Angeles and is often considered to be one of the most fascinating and historic routes in the whole of the United States. It was constructed and paved back in 1926 and since then has become a focal point of popular culture, as well as being host to some of the most interesting and exciting points of interest in America. The most charming Route 66 tourist attractions worth seeing are quirky, beautiful, and delicious!

Our Tennessee Trip
We decided to take our first a trip to Tennessee. It was during the eclipse, and since they said that Nashville was one the best places to see it we thought why not go? We had planned the trip about three weeks in advance. Every hotel in Nashville was pretty much booked up, and if it wasn't they wanted a ridiculous price for a room. We decided to stay close to Nashville, since we were there to see the eclipse. We can get there by car, so it was not that bad of a drive. Well until we got closer to Tennessee, apparently a lot of people were doing the same that we were, so the traffic was just awful. Whenever the traffic gets like that we just stop and get something to eat. We stopped at our usual place, Cracker Barrel. Now if you have never been there you should go just for their store alone. The one thing is that you probably won't leave there without buying something. This time we ate breakfast food, but we usually get their chicken and dumplings. Their Coca-Cola chocolate cake is really good too. Yes that is what I said, Coca-Cola. It makes the chocolate cake really moist, almost like you are eating fudge. After we left we headed to our hotel to check in, we had planned on getting up early, because we knew that traffic would be just as bad. The day of the eclipse we had everything planned out, or so we thought, until we found out that they were closing off the park for their employees. We decided instead of risking us missing the real reason we had traveled to Tennessee that we were just going to find somewhere to pull off the road before it started.

Hawaii
Here we were, stranded on a deserted beach. The only way out of here was to hike twelve miles to the nearest road, kayak six miles over ten-foot swells, or wait for the Coast Guard to pick you up. But yet I was more relaxed than I had ever been before. Boy Scout Troop 212 from Northglenn, Colorado had decided to change up our normal "summer" camp.

Decline of a Dream
A Founder's Dream In October 1966, two months before his death, Walt Disney outlined his dream for a Living Community of the future as the centerpiece of his planned "Disney World" project in the swamps of Central Florida. Walt referred to this dream project as EPCOT, for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It would be an idealized city of the future with innovative transportation systems and all sorts of facilities designed with the public's needs in mind.

Please Pass the Salt
On the state line between Nevada and Utah lies the Bonneville Salt Flats. Recently, Mike and I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing place. From things I have read, I could only fathom the expanse of this place but to feel it in person is unbelievable.

Autumn in Michigan
I lived in Michigan many years ago. Initially, I didn't want to move to Michigan because I was in the suburbs of Detroit and couldn't imagine anything worse than that. Before I moved there, I envisioned gray - just gray. Well, I ended up loving it. The suburbs of Detroit are like anywhere else - with all the shopping and restaurants you need and nice neighborhoods to walk in - with several parks splattered here and there.

Utah: An Outdoor Paradise
The beauty you see above is called Lake Powell. A lake that goes through southern Utah and Northern Arizona. And this isn't even the most beautiful site Utah has to offer. Here are some beautiful sites just needing to be looked at by more eyes.

Day in Salem
My film studies professor told us about an exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum called "It’s Alive," which features posters and props from classic horror and sci-fi films. It piqued my interest and so Jasmine and I decided that we would go downtown today since my only class was canceled and Jasmine did not have class until 3:05.

Beyond Michigan: Part 1
4/21 11 AM It was a longer drive yesterday than expected. I had a mental schedule which I needed to follow. We drove from Utah through Colorado into my hometown in Wyoming. I was now four days into a cross country roadtrip with my roommate from a ski town in the high Sierras.
