Just No More
I want to live in a world where we are not judged by the color of our skin, or by the kind of music we listen to, or where we grew up. I want to live in a world where it is okay to be seen in public in sweatpants, messy hair, and no makeup; where we are not defined by our mistakes, but by our goals and successes.

Guardian Angels
They are there, always watching without anybody ever knowing. They are the silent ones who hide away in the corner. At night they are by your bed watching over you, they kiss your cheek when you dream bad dreams and pray for you when you get sick. They smile when you laugh at a joke told by your friends, and they are the ones that cry when they see that your heart has broken. They scream at those who betray you. They are part of you.

She’s silent all day, not one sound crosses her lips. He’s home and drunk. She’s in the kitchen cooking dinner, still and as silent as a mouse. In he comes, slamming the door and shouting at the top of his voice.

Broken Heart
She hadn’t seen her baby in twelve hours. Her fingers gripped the blanket in which she used to tuck him into when saying goodnight. Her heart was beating fast, tears stained her pale face. There was total silence and the only thing that was running through her head was the image of her baby being brought back into her life, so she could treasure him with every ounce of love she had left in her fragile body.

From London to New York: What I Learnt From a Week in the Big Apple
For my 23rd birthday, I was lucky enough to go to New York for a week - and it was one of the best weeks of my life. Growing up I’ve always dreamt of travelling through the US, going to as many states as possible and the first on my list was New York. I spent years saying to myself “one day I’ll go if I have the time, the money...” but now I can say I’ve finally achieved it for myself. It was an amazing experience, one I’ll never forget.
