The Oasis Courtyard At Micah's Tea Rooms

Introduction

Today I was in Morpeth and was wandering, I had vague plans but had missed breakfast and wanted a coffee. I wandered toward the river and saw a sign saying tea and coffee down a side street, so I wandered down and saw a beautifully decorated back yard, full of nice chairs and tables. I had found The Oasis Courtyard At Micah's Tea Rooms.

Micah's Tea Rooms In Morpeth

I spoke with the ladies running the Tea Room and told them how impressed I was, and I might actually write a piece about the place. They took my order and brought me a couple of documents about the history of the place. They then brought me my order, which was perfect for what I wanted, a wonderful three egg omelette with tomato and onion, and some filter coffee.

I was going to share the text, but it is all on their excellent informative website, which is linked in the addendum to this piece, but here are a few pages:

That is a little to whet your appetite, but their website has all the information you need.

I spoke with a couple of regulars in the Oasis and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I visit Morpeth maybe once a month, and this place will be getting more visits from me, as I need to sample more of their food and drink while relaxing in these wonderful surroundings.

Their pictures are better than mine, and I almost left without paying, but I did pay and took a few more photos of the inside of the tea rooms.

I love this:

And a little more info:

This was going to be longer, but I found that the extras I was going to put in are on Micah's website, so I decided not to repeat.

So I have to say, if you are ever in Morpeth, you must try this place.

I will be back.

Addendum

This is their excellent informative website with all you need to know about them:

They are on Facebook here

I included "Everything Stops For Tea" by Long John Baldry as the music.
