Back To The Aladdin's Cave - Fannies Emporium - A Morpeth Treasure Trove

An Amazing Antiques Place To Explore In Morpeth Once More

Morpeth Court - Home Of Fannie's Emporium

Introduction

Actually, I visit Fannie's every time I visit Morpeth. Below is about my first visit there:

Today (28th of May 25), I got to visit their newly opened second tier, which in six weeks will hopefully have a cake and coffee area ( I knew this was a long term plan), which I found out when talking to Tiffany (now you know where the name comes from).

This is the Facebook page:

This is just me sharing a few more photographs of the amazing things that I saw there. While antiques don't normally attract me the way this is presented and what it contains, along with Tiffany and Michelle.

Pictures From Tiffany And Michelle's Cave

Where to start, that is the question, but maybe a view from the new level:

This gives you a few ideas of what the place is like, to there are many rooms and passages to explore with some amazing things hidden or not so hidden there like the replica statue of Michaelangelo's "David" in all it's glory which you can't miss because it is on the entrance staircase.

Walking up to the new level, I noticed what seemed to be part of a Kraken tentacle, dismembered from its owner.

Behind the counter is a Sporting Cartridge Tophy made from spent shotgun cartridges. I don't know if it is for sale, but I expect that it is.

Then you see amazing doll's houses like this one

And this amazingly detailed star queen in a frame, sorry about the glass reflection

Some great cinema posters, I know these things seem unconnected, but that is the wonder of Fannie's Emporium, you do not know what is coming round the next corner

And then we have some butterflies in bell jars

Conclusion

I could post a lot more photographs, but you are best visiting the Facebook page, or actually getting yourself to Morpeth to get lost in this wondrous place.

Although not part of the Emporium, I love the Morpeth Flower Clock. which is across the road.

I think Big Country's "Wonderland is an appropriate accompaniment to this wandering visit.

Yes, another great field trip. I like stores like this. Were there any vintage books being sold. Great job.
