Before Quarantine
In the months before quarantine, I traveled to Peru with my family. I used to live in Peru, and I’ve often acted as a guide to Machu Picchu. The last time I went, I met up with one of my high school friends and his family. I hadn’t seen him for about ten years, and it was wonderful to have the chance to catch up and see how our lives have changed, and how they’ve stayed the same.

Landscape Mode Challenge
Come to my window, come and stay by the light of the moon! It is summer now but I will never forget just how this valley remained hidden in fog, bathed in the night sky. We were our own rainforest and I had a treehouse. That second floor view was magical in that it made us the same height, myself and the crests of the valley. I now know those crests by their summer name, the palm trees. Palm trees are possessed by any properly patriotic California neighborhood.

I live in Goshen, a semi-rural town, in Orange County New York. Technically the town is a suburb of New York City. But it's a lot more peaceful than NYC generally is. Maybe peaceful isn't the right word for it. There's been a name for this town, that's stuck around for many decades: "slow motion Goshen." Even the village itself is slow. But I live outside the village, so there aren't too many buildings in the area.

A Bridge and an Opera House
I have travelled to many places in the world since I was twenty one and not too many rival the picturesque beauty of coming home to Sydney Harbour. I'm blessed that I have this view outside one of the rooms in my apartment. When I sit down at my computer and look to my right this beautiful view never fails to take my breath away.
