My last "normal" picture
A few days ago I got an email from vocal about one of their weekly challenges they're doing during covid 19. The challenge was to write about the last photo we took before the lock down. My last picture was from my trip to chateau Elan which you can see above.

Once Upon a Time, We Stood Side by Side...
I was already planning to leave Paris when lockdown began and so, with Macron's announcement, I felt that I had little choice but to return to my home country; tiny old England. With a one way ticket to Athens, and a sailing course waiting for me in Corfu, I was packing up my life by March, and just starting to get anxious that Coronavirus would derail my plans. And, of course, that's exactly what did happen. Having just quit my job, and due to soon hand in the keys to my apartment, my flight was cancelled, and so instead I found myself taking a last minute Eurostar to good old London, quite unsure as to what I would do next.

Travel the world as a broke 20 year old
Why am I writing this? I have an agenda. It includes a laundry list of places I want to go and people I want to meet. Most people my age are focused more on their love lives or social media image than what else there is to explore in this huge world of ours. And frankly, it is small minded to think that there aren’t bigger and better places than the city, or even country, you’re from. The problem is, I have no idea what I want to do with my life right now. I graduated with a degree in biology and thought I was going to pursue medicine. Even though I still am interested in healthcare because of its stability and huge salary, I am sick of it. I am sick of the rude people, the corrupt companies and policies running the show, and the lack of reward you feel day to day. I want to do something bigger but absolutely no idea where to start.

A Beach Vacation in Sri Lanka
Beaches have always been my favourite holiday getaway. Beaches never let you down. No matter the hour of the day or the people who you are with, you always find new and exciting things to experience like build sand castles with your little ones, watch the sunset filled with astonishing colours with your partner, dance at a beach party with your friends or enjoy a relaxing walk on the sandy beach by yourself. So, I am always on the search for new beach destinations and experiences and I came across this small tropical island in the Indian Ocean named Sri Lanka. It seemed like a beautiful place to visit, so I did.

I Visited The Kremlin
When I first began to think of going to Moscow and the counting of Rubles, the official currency of Russia, I think of Shakespeare’s famous plays. I began to imagine an ancient city, as old and quaint as my imagination can fathom. Moscow counts as a very modern city dotted here and there by relics of the hay days of capitalist reign, an impression that still lingers on her shoulder. Yet, the monasteries, which I visited and the famous cathedrals that have survived far more dramatic threats are under some kind of reconstruction. My mind’s eye can still glaze at the unbreakable Kremlin Walls and hovering Towers and the Red Square where many wonderful, and truly elaborate parades must have taken place through the centuries, watched by Czars and other great figures of the day.
