Pros and Cons of Solo Travelling
We all probably as children wished we traveled alone, or perhaps you are still wishing so. I sure did once, but after doing it for the first time, and being forced to do it a few times after, I found myself wishing to travel accompanied again.

30A’s New Urbanist Foundation
"The building of cities is one of man's greatest achievements" - Edmund Bacon One part design movement, one part principled philosophy, New Urbanism is as much of 30A as emerald waters, sugar white sands and bright, sunny days. A new age way of thinking, born ironically from inspiration of city building and design techniques which were prevalent pre World War Two, a New Urbanist landscape is a place that is one with its natural surroundings. While many cities, towns and villages are developed despite its habitat, or rather, built against the terrain native to the land, a city designed under New Urbanist ideals instead constructs its buildings in harmony with nature. This belief system extends from the design, architecture, and actual placement of structures to the layout of public spaces and everything in-between.

Meadville
Having lived in Meadville, Pennsylvania for his entire 42 year life, and being the sole owner of the Brandon Family Restaurant, Mark lived a comfortable and happy life. When Mickey’s Firehouse Station opened up on the other side of town, he was afraid that he would lose business and have to close. However, the opposite has proven to be true and the restaurant is thriving! Mickey’s is an old firehouse that was turned into a restaurant, and since it gets regular write-ups in travel articles, it attracts the tourists. Locals tended to frequent Brandon’s and Mark believed he knew everyone in this town of 13,000. Imagine his surprise when a stranger arrived and sat at the bar, placed a black notebook on the counter, and asked for Mark Brandon personally.

New York City is one of the most amazing places in the world! It's a city of twenty-four hour energy, entertainment and action. I lived there for five years, and still don't feel I've discovered all of its nooks and crannies. When talking to would-be tourists, the usual suspects are on their list--Times Square, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park... they are all worthy places to go, but what about a few other lesser-known places to make you feel like a real New Yorker?

Everest Base Camp Trek
The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the best trek in Nepal and is also one of the popular trek in the world. Place yourself in history by hiking along the same path that Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay walked as they made their famous ascent to the summit of Mount Everest (8848 meters / 29,029 feet). The trek is sure to wear you out, but the tiresome feeling is temporary. The sense of achievement that you feel when you reach base camp lasts forever.

A New Page
In 2014, I was living in Tennessee and teaching English to international students at a mid-sized university’s language center: ESL for ELC at ETU. My job was to get my classes ready for college in a few months from whatever level of English they had when they arrived in the United States. It was fun, and confusing, and frustrating, and rewarding. At that time, I was also involved in hosting lots of events outside of my day job.
