207 days to go
It’s turned into a magical summer day, albeit it’s only 21 degrees Celsius (that’s about 70 Fahrenheit), but who can complain. Summer in Britain so far has been the pits. Only yesterday I turned the heater on. It was only for a short thirty minutes, but that was thirty minutes too long!

Diarist: Sea Letters
Letters. What we say out loud, but written. I'm fascinated by letters that capture a specific moment of being; when we sit down to write a letter we pour our presence onto the page. We send a piece of our minds, our bodies in an envelope or a satellite wave.

Chronicles of a Black Girl in Thailand
It honestly felt like the hottest place on earth. Once the airport doors slid open and I took my first breath of Bangkok smog I was simultaneously choked up by the hot, thick, humidity of the atmosphere, but I loved it. I think I was an island dweller in a past life from the way I’m obsessed with being warm. As someone who grew up in Northeastern Ohio where cancelled school due to lake effect snow was a common occurrence throughout my upbringing, the promise of hot, sunshine filled days, even in the middle of December felt like a blessing to me.

How to Get Around Colombo
On weekdays, Colombo, like most major cities, will come to a complete stop due to traffic congestions. Even so, since the city is so big, you can expect to spend some time getting around. San Salvador
San Salvador, The Bahamas—a tiny strip of land southeast of Nassau. There is one road that snakes around the island, one lane each way, encircling the uninhabitable marsh inland. The coastal regions consist mainly of small settlements that at the time totaled a population of less than 1,000. The nearest medical facility is hours away on a different island. Cockburn Town boasts the international airport on the island, but there is only one international flight in and out, a charter plane that flies directly from France to the island specifically for access to the Club Med resort, a relatively new addition at the time of my visit. The only other flights are island hoppers, mostly from Nassau, and the airport reflects that—the nearest bathroom is located in the bar across the street.

BEGINNING ANY GOOD STORY
Always prolonging the inevitable. The anxiety of placing one foot out into the unknown suffocated me, dread placed her chilling hands across my throat and squeezing my chest so in that moment I stood paralyzed by fear. What makes someone brave? Are some of us destined to become greater and others less? Do some of us have a more superior chance (in this day we may perhaps call it being privileged) of succeeding and achieving more than our counterparts? Each one of us live in a world where untold possibilities lay head of us waiting to be discovered.

It's Summer!!
With summer starting, and being able to start to be more social, after being hit with such a pandemic, as COVID-19, there's quite a bit to get excited about. No matter what type of activities your interested in, there's mostly an event for it. Amusement and National parks are opening back up, as well as concerts and gatherings being worked up to be able to be held. I have to admit, I'm happy to see things start to be a little, "normal". Whatever that is, right?

Welcome to Broadstairs
Broadstairs. A stunning seaside town with beautiful beaches and medieval sites dating back to the 17th century which contributes to the town's tourism. The town itself imitates the streets that you would normally find in Italy or the South of France along the mediterranean sea with restaurants that offer alfresco dining and little boutique shops selling domestically made, handcrafted products. The air is very clean and the sea is a picturesque blue which is rare to find along the english coastline. No rubbish along the beaches, no loud events that would keep you up at night, and no sought of unusual crime that will have people in fear. More a less, this is the type of town where you would go for a quick getaway to leave all your troubles behind. Haha, that's what I thought until I went there for a day trip.
