Oh the places I'll go

To travel or not to travel,

I love the simple fact of traveling. Which you would think I would get sick of because I have moved about 18 times in my life.

but all of it was in all of America west of the Mississippi. Although there are a few spots, I haven't visited. Still, one day, I would like to visit the east coast. It May seem odd, but I really do. I would love to tour and see everything from the Florida keys to the coast of Maine. And sample all the food along the way. This is why one of my dreams is to live on the road in an RV. Even though I don't have a license and only know how to drive a car. Still, the dream is there.

Thankfully, I am not alone. My husband is on board with this. and often excitedly talks about living out on the open road. Although this could be a bit of a problem. Where we have no income, and I can't drive at the moment. So with that, I want to show you a few places I would love to travel to someday. And leave a few tidbits I have learned from traveling the eastern part of the USA.

The United Kingdom, A place of Castles and Kings

The first place I would go once I get my future passport would be the united kingdom. Not only for the history but the familial ties as well. My family a long time ago came from a winery situated in France. And moved over here because of persecution, among other things, I am sure. But a part of me always has wanted to visit the winery and see the sights around. Maybe even daydream what life would have been like if that part of the family hadn't left. It may even become part of a story in the future.

Another story I am working on is based in Ireland and deals with myths turn realities there. Someday, you will read it on this blog. But till then, please be patient with me.

The second place is a country, so is the third. I would love to do a tour of Italy and India. I love the architecture, not to mention the culture and history. Man, I have a hard time not hopping on a plane right now. Anyway. I love the vibrancy that is abundant in that area of the world. Oh, and the clothes actually don't get me started on the clothes. It's enough to make me drool and stare off into space.

Italy, A Taste of History

The main reason for Italy, though, is the history. Everything about it and in it makes me ever curious. Mainly to see and be in places where thousands have been before us. All of those stories are untold and unwritten. It amazes me how much there is there. In those terms, that is. Can you imagine what life would have been like back then? All the stories that place could inspire in me. Well, it would make the trip worth it in itself. Of course, the amenities had changed quite a bit since when it first became a country. Still, totally worth it for the imagination alone.

India, a land of beautiful architecture

India is more for the atmosphere and the architecture than anything else. I don't know what it is about the style. But I love it, from the stoneware on the houses to the fabrics that drape everybody. It's so colorful and mesmerizing. Not to mention the arches and decore surrounding them. I could go on and on about all of the things I love about that place. Another reason I love it is because of the movies that are portrayed in it. Although yes, I know not everything on the big screen happens in real life. But still, let a girl dream.

So I guess in all reality, there isn't just one place I would visit. There are multiple and for good reasons. I have always believed the saying expand your horizons. Because I have seen first hand, with yours genuinely what happens if you don't. It's sad and terrible to watch someone waste their life away with dreaming like that. What about you? What place do you want to visit so badly? What stops you from taking the first step on that journey? be honest with yourself and say nothing. So do yourself a favor and live outside your comfort zone. Go travel and learn more about the world. Who knows, you might find yourself as well.  after all, why would we not want to see how the other half lives. And I am not just talking about the rich and famous.

In my neck of the woods

And for those of you who are interested in traveling the eastern half of the united states. Here are just a few tips for you.

Tip #1 Always carry a emergeny kit where ever you go. in said kit should be the basics. such as band aids, gause, etc. but also add to that a knife, a long string, and some toiet paper. Trust me; you will thank me later. It is so easy to get stranded out here. Especially if you have no easy way to orient yourself. Which is where the string comes in handy. True, a stick can work in a pinch. But in some places, such a thing is scarce. Anyway, it makes for a significant compass and sundial.

Tip # 2 The wildlife are more afraid of you then visa versa. odds are they are just passing thru and ignoring you. i strongly advise you do the same. of course, take pictures. the pic are worth a thousand words, as they say. but whatever you do, dont approach the wild animals. you will most likely scare them off, or they will attack you. And more often, you are deep in the woods, and help won't be able to arrive fast enough.

That is all I am going to say for today. Just remember it never hurts to be prepared.
