Movie Review: 'National Champions' Lays Out the Case to Pay College Football Players. Top Story - December 2021.
National Champions aims to tell the story of how College Football exploits players. It’s a compelling bit of polemic on behalf of the players as the story gives strong voice to the complaints that many have had regarding the millions of dollars given to coaches and the billions of dollars raked in by universities and conferences that do little to benefit the young men laying their bodies on the line to actually earn that money.

College Football Coaches Need To Be Held Accountable
People always wonder when is it a good time to leave a college football and the answer there really is not a good time. Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley decided it was time to leave each school for other programs without much notice at all. Do college football coaches owe anyone especially their players on what led them to leave. Should college football players be allowed to leave immediately from the program? Let's dig deeper into both questions on one of the hottest topics in college football these days.

Coaching Football & Systemic Racism
Sports have been said to be one of the world’s most level playing fields. Talent, drive, hard work, and performance supersede almost all else most of the time; at least where players are concerned. Yes, athletes are, generally speaking, judged mostly on their ability to execute and win games. But does this performance based evaluation extend into the realm of coaching? Where football is concerned, my answer is no.

Taunting is the "newest" worst penalty in the NFL
The 2021-22 NFL season is about to be one of the leagues weirdest seasons ever; from being a now 17-game season to having 2 bottom teams from both the AFC and the NFC sneaking into the playoffs. the worst thing about this season so far is the "taunting" penalty as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will make up new rules, causing the outcome of games being unfair. this isn't just him however, there were rumors of referees manipulating the outcomes in games for TV ratings as this was happening when Roger Goodell became commissioner back in 2006. the NFL is at a pivotal point where their product is going downhill and viewers are lurking in the other direction by turning the channel.

The Ultimate Piano Carriers
Whenever I talk or write about the make-up of a team I usually refer to the concept of teams being made up of piano players and piano carriers. The players in this concept are the skilful ones, the ones that people tend to notice, they get a lot more attention, do many more press conferences and tend to attract bigger sponsorship deals. The carriers are the ones who do all the stuff that the players do not do, the stuff that needs doing but people hardly notice it getting done. For some reason in the sporting world the players tend to be better looking and much more likely to work on screen after their careers or over and sometimes even during their careers.

NFL Week 9
Week 9 This was a week of upsets with a few statement wins thrown in. In what I am hoping will be a Superbowl rehearsal the Titans travelled to Los Angeles to take on the Rams. With home advantage and the Titans without their phenomenal running back Derrick Henry, the Rams started as reasonably significant favourites. Yet it was Tennessee who got off to a flying start, thanks largely to their defensive line causing havoc. They were 21-3 up at half time and never looked like losing from there, finishing up 28-16 winners. That, along with Buffalo’s shock 9-6 loss to Jacksonville, established the Titans in the number one seed position in the AFC. Given that they did all that without Henry, it put them well in the conversation for genuine Superbowl contenders, odds of 25-1 are certainly looking lively at this moment.

NFL week 7 and 8
Week 7 The Cardinals continued their run as the only unbeaten team in the NFL, their seventh win in a row being one of their more routine ones, a 31-5 win at home to the Houston Texans, who still only have one win to their name. At this stage the Texans already look to be in a battle for last place in the league with the Jaguars, the Lions and maybe the Jets – who lost 54-13 in New England this week.
