Part I : A Look Back at 2019 John Jay Football - Hen Hud and Brewster
John Jay Sinks Sailors 34-6 After two runs for minus seven yards to open the game on Friday Night at John Jay High School, Hen Hud Quarterback Braden Ellis hit Marcus Lenz on the run for a first down, and the game between the two 1-0 teams looked like it might be a good one. But the Sailor offense was not really heard from again until late in the third quarter, and any chance that visitors could keep up was pretty much decided on the Indians first play from scrimmage.

Part II : A Look Back at 2019 John Jay Football - vs Panas and Beacon
John Jay 49 Panas 17 Coming into Friday night’s game at Walter Panas, John Jay has enjoyed three blowouts. The offense explodes in all directions, and the defense stands down everything in their way. But football is a three dimensional game, and Head Coach Jimmy Clark geared his lesson plan as such this week. “We put emphasis on special teams,” said Clark, and the kicking game responded with three touchdowns in tallying a 49-17 rout.

Somers Rides Four Matthew Pires Touchdowns to 28-6 Victory
For the bulk of last night’s game between Somers and Sleepy Hollow, the end zone didn’t have a lot of company from the 70 players suited up at the High School. But when one breaks the plane four times, it's more about the company you keep, and Wide Receiver Matthew Pires happily obliged to be on the receiving end in Somers' 28-6 victory.

How To Understand Football
The NFL Superbowl each January is a major event with people throwing viewing parties and advertising spots selling for an average of $5 million each year. When you want to get in on the fun, it can be intimidating to watch your first couple of games with people who have been fans for years because football can be difficult to understand. To help you prepare for your big game day celebration, it is a good idea to have plenty of snacks, some fan gear and know a bit about how the game is played by the National Football League.

Seahawks Russell Wilson Twice Helps Vikings Score on Fluky Pick-Six
The Seahawks are this season's only team to beat the San Francisco 49ers (10-1). The Seahawks have the ability to win every close game because quarterback Russell Wilson is one of the NFL's toughest players and often at its finest when the fourth quarter is under pressure.

5 College Football Teams That Should Never Change Their Uniforms
I love college football. Probably more than I like watching the NFL. One of the better parts of college football is the history associated with the schools. Now, to change things up — and to cash in on sycophant alumni and students — many teams use several different jerseys. But, there are a handful of teams that should never touch their uniforms.

17 Game NFL Schedule, How Would It Work?
Now I don't claim to know where the NFL's coming from on imagining how this could work, but here's how I'd do it. And granted the ever-increasing appetite for International Games as well as the odd-number of games I'd imagine this is what they'd have to go with:

The Patriots Protect Owner by Releasing Brown
The National Football League was taken by storm when the New England Patriots signed the best wide out in the league Antonio Brown. Brown was released after having a verbal altercation with Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis on top of the drama-filled training camp about his helmet issues, his injury to his feet from a cryotherapy mishap, calling out Juju, falling out with his former quarterback Ben Rothlesburger.

What Happened to the Chicago Bears?
As it seemed that after having a dominating season in 2018, the Bears would once again be superbowl contenders. Despite the loss of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who took the head coaching job for the Denver Broncos, they picked up another defensive mastermind in Chuck Pagano (former Indianapolis Colts head coach). With maybe a minor step back for the #1 ranked defense with the switching of defensive coordinators, the offense which was on and off during the whole last season, was bound to take the next step forward. High praise from the coaches that quarterback Mitchell Trubisky would improve off his 24 touchdowns to only 12 interceptions which is not bad at all. With taking more helm to the offense and being able to change the plays at the line of scrimmage was expected but what actually happened was the opposite. So what happened to this Super Bowl contending team?

Best of British: UK Players in the NFL
Recently it was a London homecoming for Efe Obada when the Carolina Panthers faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of the 2019 London Series. The Nigerian-born defensive end moved to London with his sister at the age of 10, and is one of six British players who are currently signed to an NFL team. So far the 27 year old is enjoying his best ever spell in America’s premier gridiron league, featuring in 10 games last season and all six so far this. So who have Britain’s best NFL players been? And who have been some of the more noteworthy names to transfer over to playing in America?

Mastering the Art of Being a High School Football Mom
When you become a parent, you put your child’s needs and wants ahead of your own. No matter what they want to do in life, you do everything you can to support them and make their dreams a reality. Depending on your pre-kid lifestyle, you may have been ecstatic or mortified when they first told you they wanted to play football. Either way, when they decided to join the football team, they signed you both up for a potentially life-changing journey. Your child became a football player and you became a football mom (or dad).
