Why All Educators Should Do Personal Development
Recently I was working with a group of young students who were, as students do, resisting doing the task that I, the educator, wanted them to. I began to enter into the familiar dance that anyone who has ever worked with children likely knows well: Kids moving around the room, talking to friends, asking unrelated questions, raising their hand and telling long-winded, boring stories about their friend Carley’s pet hamster who pooped on the floor. Everybody laughs but you—because let's face it kid, your story sucks and I see what you’re trying to do here.

9 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Visit Africa
Africa is one of the most misunderstood and underrated regions in the world. The continent that is often mistaken for a country. The number one place people think of when the word "poverty" is mentioned. The region of the world where people know more about its animals than the locals there. One might wonder "why on earth should I visit a country in Africa?" "I’ve watched the Lion King, I know what Africa is all about." "I don’t want to see poor people… I don’t think Africa is worth my money."

Why Kuta Wasn't My Cup of Tea...
Bali, the small Indonesian Island, is one of the most visited destinations in the world by Australians, due to its low cost and close proximity. Usually, it is the first country an Australian will travel to; either with their families or as part of the end of school celebration (Aussies call it Schoolies).

Is Auto-Exposure Good?
That is quite a bold statement to make. Especially with the capabilities of RAW files. However, for the moment I am going to ignore RAW files (I will speak about them later on in this article). We all know of photographers from years gone by who didn't have auto exposure and took phenomenal images on film. To name a few: Fan Ho, Don McCullin, Ira Block, Annie Leibovitz, and Steve McCurry. They are in no particular order, but they all started shooting without digital cameras, and without auto-exposure. All their most distinctive shots have been taken without auto-exposure and on film.

10 Fashion Tips for Traveling Females

Dare to Say No to Single-Use Plastic
If you’re like me, the idea that inorganic, non-biodegradable, single-use plastics are somehow the go-to packaging unit is just illogical; almost as illogical as seventeen states in our country having statewide ban preemptions or preventative measures restricting even the possibility of future bans of their use. As crazy as it may seem to some of us, we are still the ones allowing it. Therefore, the purpose of this article is not to place blame, rather, the purpose of this article is to establish personal accountability. Corporations use plastic because it is durable, inexpensive, and accepted by us all.

Sap! Review
What do you know about sap? Before trying these drinks, I knew little to nothing about it. In my head, I always confused it with maple syrup. I’m aware that these two things are in fact, different, but I never had a reason to seek out any answers. I guess it was just one of those things I was comfortable in my confusion of. I knew it was sticky and came from trees. That’s as far as my knowledge went. So when I saw the Sap! variety pack of maple seltzer, maple soda and sparkling birch, I thought I could use this as a learning experience.

I Gave Up Wheat and Got My Life Back
It’s not so much that I decided to give up wheat, as I was just really sick of matzoh. Passover came along and I thought 'I just can't do the matzoh this year.' Well, I did try. The only way I can find those dry crackers palatable is by covering them in lots of butter and salt. I tried that for two days and was plagued by the stomach troubles that had dogged me all of my life due to "lactose intolerance.'
