Yvette Cooper: Ethnicity Should Never Be An Excuse.

Grooming Gangs Scandal.

Home Secretary: Yvette Cooper.

The Grooming Gangs scandal has raised the ire of one Elon Musk. The refusal of Sir Keir Starmer to call for an inquiry into this tragedy has caused yet another spat between Musk and Starmer.

In places like Rotherham and Oldham where Muslim men notably of Pakistani descent abused Native British girls. Luring them with flashy cars, buying them presents, giving them booze and drugs. Giving vulnerable girls the feeling that someone cared for them. All the while luring these girls into a depraved world of sexual exploitation. These girls were passed around from man to man like a parcel at a pass-the-parcel game.

When these nieve and vulnerable girls realized they were being used nobody would help them. The police dismissed their complaints as silly girls wanting attention. Social services or any other agency that should have been concerned weren't. It was all brushed under the carpet for so-called community relations. In truth, the very organisations that should have helped these vulnerable girls failed them big time. They were afraid of being called racist or Islamophobic. So, they chose to ignore it. Are these organisations to blame? Yes, they are but one must remember the climate they were operating under that still pervades society. The fear of being labelled anti-this or that under the perverted and authoritarian concept of being politically correct. This climate made these organisations nervous about acting against these Muslim men. Maybe some took these girls' complaints seriously but were told by their superiors to drop their cases. Others may have dismissed many of these girls as attention-seeking. Either way, these girls were let down big time. In contrast, the perpetrators were allowed to continue their heinous and evil crimes.

Thankfully, many years later some of these men have been brought to book. Let us hope that the police, social services, and other groups are out there stopping the exploitation of vulnerable people. No matter what form that exploitation takes or who is being exploited. Race, faith, nationality, gender, etc, shouldn't matter. The perpetrators should face the full writ of the law and the victims should be helped.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper stated in Parliament about the awful scale of sexual abuse. The sexual abuse down the years by these men on these vulnerable girls. Ms. Cooper outlined the government's determination to strengthen existing laws and introduce new laws. Based on the recommendation of independent bodies.

Ms. Cooper said, "There is no excuse for anyone not to take these crimes seriously". "Perpetrators must be punished and pursued" she continued and stressed that victims need protection and support.

One has to say that had these girls been of Pakistani heritage there would have been an outcry. Can you imagine the headline: "White Men Exploit Asian Muslim Girls"! Whole communities of Muslims would take to the streets demanding justice. And rightly so, however, if it were white British people doing such demonstrations they would be labelled as far-right and demonised.

When someone commits a crime no matter who it is they should stand trial. They should face the full power of the law and face a long stretch of imprisonment. The victim/victims as Ms. Cooper says should be supported and protected. What happened all those years ago travesty that it was cannot be undone. What we must do is learn from this darkness and make sure it never happens again. Regardless of who is the criminal and whatever form that crime takes they reap what they sow. So that they face justice and the punishment awaiting them.

Likewise, the victims are truly believed, supported, protected, and see their abuser put down for a long stretch following the crime committed.
