The Brake: Rapper Oh Boy Prince is Struck by Brake Pad While Traveling on Interstate 30 in Texas
Oh Boy Prince seeks to have this wrong righted.
Barrelling down the highway at speeds that would cause a piece of a brake pad to shoot out from underneath the truck, rapper Oh Boy Prince received serious injuries to his face. On a stretch of the road while traveling with his girlfriend, Unique Musick, a metal piece struck him and he became partially unconscious.
The hip hop artist just wants some answers as to what truck caused the piece to hit him so he can get some justice. Yet, he should actually be petitioning the government to divert tractor trailers on the roadways altogether. Because of massive regulations and controls on the railway system, trucks diverted to the main highways along with passenger cars. Where freight trains once carried goods for the most part, now eighteen-wheelers perform this work. That needs to be reverted back to the trains.
Over the decades, there have been deaths and severe injuries caused by pieces of equipment, logs, and other debris that tractor trailers expelled.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ougt to be eliminated amongst other alphabet soup agencies. Oh Boy Prince could have been killed and tallied along with the other corpses that have been in the wake of eighteen-wheelers. These trucks shouldn’t even exist on the roads with other cars. They should be relegated to their own shipping lanes apart and away from the main highway systems.
It is the fault of the government that this rapper sustained his injuries. It is apparent that he wants to go after the driver and the company which precipitated this whole near-fatal collision to the face, but he should be talking to his congressman or senator regarding the idea of establishing laws for these big rigs to be on their own separate highways. No controls or regulations ought to be enacted.
Like the major spill on the train tracks in Ohio, the EPA wants to throttle more businesses in how they perform their work. The NTSB is no different. It wishes to put more force into the market in the name of “public safety.” The real individual safety measures should include the fact that eighteen-wheelers should be only for local distances and trains should carry the goods of these large vehicles.
The Brooklyn rapper spoke out with the idea of wanting to bring a sense of closure to reconcile the horrific injuries he endured. When calamities such as this occur, it is up to the government to protect rather than stomp all over rights. Motorists of cars, motorcycles, buses, vans, and pickup trucks and other vehicles should be able to prosper without the worry that a log, or rocks, or a brake piece will come flying into their vehicle.
Oh Boy Prince is justified in his actions. Yet, he should still pursue the option of talking about how the government ought to cease the involvement of the trucks in order to prevent what happened to him. While it would be easy to just say that a rapper is only concerned with this matter because it happened to him, that should be the reason why he should be so adamant. His rational self-interest will be able to sustain his life. As an afterthought, other lives would be saved in the process.
His selfishness would be a benefit for his own well-being. Anyone else would be able to look at his actions and band together and contest the State about how the highway system is set up with these giant trucks that hog lanes, cause collisions, and are responsible for terrifying incidents like what happened to Oh Boy Prince. His courage and character ought to propel him to make the decisions to aid in the United States of America to finally segregate the tractor trailers for the good of the individual.
