The Department of Education announced this reclassification plan in early November 2025, and it is tied to the implementation of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” passed in July 2025. The Department has said final rules will be released by spring 2026, so the changes are not yet in effect but are expected to take hold then.

Dear Author. Top Story - November 2025.
Today I read a Dear Abby column that really bugged me. It was about a woman whose best friend of thirty years abruptly stopped speaking to her because of differing political beliefs. They supported opposing parties, and her friend ended their relationship over it. The writer was hurt, but she hoped that there would be a way to work things out. When the friend had a grandchild, she wrote her a text congratulating her. Her friend responded with a "Who's this?" Our writer was ravaged and wrote the Dear Abby letter, and Abby's response was rather lacking.

Rule by the ultra-woke elite. Fact or fiction?
Rule by the ultra-woke elite. Fact or fiction? Manipulation of governance. There are people so arrogant and self-centred that they automatically dismiss anything “popular” as wrong, distasteful, beneath their consideration. A few hundred years ago this used to be the attitude among the aristocratic hereditary rulers in Europe but now it is worldwide and those holding these opinions are in controlling positions of government bureaucracies, the legal professions, the media, and education.
