A Matter of Dispersing Attention
As I sometimes do, here is a random Yijing reading I did within the context of world affairs, our country and Washington affairs in particular, and about our current president, who happens to be the colorful Donald J. Trump. It may sound odd to most people but it helps me make sense of what the hell is going on in our present. This is an answer I obtained on June/24/2017 and it appears to refer to the president’s trip in May/2017 to Europe and the Middle East (crossing the great waters, etc.). As you can appreciate, actual affairs proved to be pretty much on the mark of how things resulted later on after the trip, in late June. Grab your copy of the Yijing (I Ching) and look it up, or go here: I Ching at Deoxi.org (Wilhelm/Baynes translation)

One Side Fits All
Throughout history we see in writings, great men and women who have contributed to the political landscape. Intertwined in this greatness of ideologies is woven a tapestry of factions. There have been Aristocrats, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents and Whigs, to name the predominant ones. Yet, even when the politico took office and influenced the wrong outcomes for our nation, they were a part of, or creators of, a policy or legislation that would benefit us all.

Dear Donald: If You Could Get Your Namesake To Shut Up, That'd Be Great
Mr. Trump: As a Canadian watching the farce that is American politics right now, I continue to be quite amused by what you feel is the right thing to do. There is no question that you becoming the United States' president has bolstered your celebrity status. The problem is, it's also cemented your status as a complete fool, and it seems to have spread throughout your gene pool.

Dear Donald, Don't Back Down To Your Enemies
Dear Mr. Trump, Despite all the negativity surrounding your presidency, I feel that you have been surprisingly smart in a few areas of significance. You stand up to Iran and North Korea and don't seem to care about the threats they send our way. As an American citizen, I feel a sense of pride when it comes to our army defending our country and making sure terrorists don't come into our country and kill innocent people. Based off of your words, the people will benefit in the long run. You have said that you will fend off any intruders in Iran who want to come to our country and suicide bomb themselves or put innocent people in danger. We are determined to defend ourselves in Syria and North Korea as you have said. We are able to use our amazing army and thwart any possible disasters that could come about in the nuclear weapon saga. As I write this, you are putting more and more pressure on Iran to not attack us because of our incredible nuclear weapons. If they start up, you will not back down. That is why I believe you have been doing a great job at keeping our enemies scared and afraid to attack. A big part of this safety process is for Iran and North Korea to dismantle their nuclear weapons. We are at war with evil. Evil has grown for the past eight years & more. You are the first man to not to sit by and let the hate continue. You said recently that North Korea will "face fire and fury like the world has never seen," if they keep threatening our nation. This is a very bold remark to say and re enforces the notion that we won't back down from this enemy of ours. In the video, you can see how direct and powerful your intentions are. I truly believe that without these type of bold messages, our enemies would be less afraid of us. We need a leader who is willing to stand up and say it like it is. While Obama was a great speaker, he was never a great quick to the point kind of guy. When was the last time you remember a president saying that he will wipe out another country if they attack us. You have the most powerful job in the world and everyone is going to try to put you down and say that you are no good. I am writing to you to say that you have to do what is best for the country and what is in the best interest for the people. Haters gonna hate. On a side note, in recent months, you have turned to China for help in containing North Korea and on June 20, you tweeted that "While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & china to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. At least I know China tried!" By the end of July, though, you were growing impatient with China: "...they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem," you tweeted. At least you gave it a try and went out of your way to seek help from China. If North Korea thinks that it would be smart to send a nuclear missile our way, they are really naive and unintelligent. According to retired Air Force general, Tom McInerney"If he gets our full nuclear retaliatory capability, within minutes after one round going into Seoul, there will be nothing left," McInerney told Fox's Liz Claman on "Countdown to the Closing Bell." He claims that we can take out the entire region in 15 minutes! Beware North Koreans. You're messing with the wrong country. Nuclear weapons are no joke and we have plenty of them to wipe out our enemies. So Sir, not backing down to your enemies will be a big step in gaining back the popularity of the people and it will be the best outcome for our country in the future.

Dear Trump...
Dear Donald Trump, This is not a reality show. You might think it is but I'm telling you, it's not. You are not going to succeed at this debacle of a presidency. You will be brought down. All the jokes and lies need to end. What you might think is a funny joke, some believe is a horrible joke. America is really worried at the direction that you're taking us. You act in strange ways and say stupid things. You behave in a childish manner and don't seem to care about what the press has to say. I'll repeat it again. This is not a reality show, Sir.

We Are Living In Scary Times!!
Well, here we are. Well into the new millennium. Y2K didn't destroy us all and the second coming has been canceled due to invalidity. But if there is a good and evil it does not seem to discriminate on Party lines. But our incomprehensible Commander and Chief is so ridiculous, is such an awful person and compulsive liar. How is it that the most important job in our country is held by such a man AND we don't get to hold him accountable. All the PROVEN lies and the hate attacks to so many people. There should be a code of ethics and morality and decency that comes with that position. Donald J. Trump is making a mockery of this High Office and has no sympathy for his own people. The other countries are laughing at us because this buffoon was SELECTED into office (not elected). Americans spent a billion dollar on campaign contributions to two Clowns making a fool of themselves in front of the world. We are a laughing stock of the world for the RIDICULOUS display of politics that we have put on. I as an intelligent American am appalled by it and am ashamed for our country and the real heart of America, its people. The worst thing about it for me is that after all they money and the big disgusting circus we had to endure our vote didn't even count! Clinton won by over 3 million votes? What's the point of having an election if the "Electoral College" gets to choose who the President is??? I will bet there are some Americans who don't even know what the Electoral College is. Well here it is in a nutshell...

Trump's Pride—Or Lack Thereof
When you start in a new job, sometimes it's a very good thing to establish your own norms and traditions. It's important to stick with the terms of reference for your job, but sometimes—especially when you're in a leadership position—it's really important to put yourself out there and establish your own presence in the body of those traditions.
