The Electoral College and its Purpose.
The Electoral College and its Purpose It is a normal process of life to outgrow, adapt, and change social normality’s, such as the way we dress, how we talk, and even what we eat. These changes occur because of society, we as people have learned to respect each other, grow together, and fight for a common goal. However, the same is not true for our government, as the people of the United States, we should expect the same practice of change in government processes, especially when we have outgrown a major component in the way our government officials are elected, most importantly the president. The topic of decision is the electoral college, created during a time of social separation, based off of race, gender, and economic class. These separations no longer determine our way of living and interacting, but for our people elected to pose change, the process of electing them does not follow this same structure. The electoral college is outdated and should no longer be a part of the election process.

Why I hate Donald Trump
You’re probably wondering why I’m writing something political when I don’t tend to write political rants. Well I’m tired of the violence abetting and I’m tired of being ignored. I’m tired of seeing the government getting away with a mob mentality. But most of all, I’m tired of white supremacy being condoned - even welcomed - into the White House.

What Ideas are you listening too??? Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Great minds discuss ideas.” We must come to grips with the idea of a more civil all inclusive society. In order to promote and to sustain such an idea, domination has to be addressed. Throughout history, systems of human domination have been constructed by dominant groups to exploit and oppress the masses. These systems of domination have stood in the paths of the human march toward freedom and authentic democracy. Certain protest movements have functioned as the historic vehicle which the oppressed have challenged and at times toppled systems of domination, clearing the path for a momentous leap forward!!!

IT DOESNT MATTER IF WE CARE THAT TRUMP HAS COVID
This morning my 9-year-old, got up and opened his laptop to watch YouTube videos. I had over-slept because the kids were so quiet. I have a standing rule that the school day starts at 9 and if you have chosen not to eat breakfast, you can wait until 10:30 for a snack. He threw himself on the floor he cried and screamed at me that he needed food mind you it was 9:45; I did not deny him food for any length of time. There has to be a line somewhere, and my line is 9 a.m. This is the same child that was given a choice between a cookie and lunch at a restaurant and proudly gamed the system stating, “I choose both.”. Fast forward to an hour later when his brother and I were waiting for lunch and he was getting lunch at home, and he was screaming on the floor. The scenarios don't feel good, we don't hope that they happen, but they are necessary.

A 6-Part Story
My story is a familiar one, an American one, a rag to riches one. From leaving my native country of Haiti to immigrating to the USA with my sisters in search of a better future, working hard in school, and ultimately landing a full scholarship. Just five years ago during the peak of my high school career, I was featured on ABC’s “A+” news segment for my achievement in obtaining a stellar academic record despite facing many obstacles. For the first time, I shared a portion of my life story to a greater audience. In addition to recognizing my accomplishments, the segment afforded me the opportunity to be a role model in my community, consisting of mainly minorities, by showing that despite your hardships you can achieve what’s in your control. The segment highlights the core values and aspirations that I had developed despite the hardships that I faced while being a high school scholar. Watching myself on TV being praised as somebody who had achieved success in this country that I had only come to five years prior; created a sense of pride. But it also masked the struggles and hardship that led to my accomplishments.

A Non Globalist's Society.
People are talking about voting November 3erd. What is being said is "this is the most important election ever". The truth is, they're right, it is. I have watched American jobs being shipped overseas since the 1970's. I have watched American factories leave cities like: Troy, N.Y., Paterson, N.J., Detroit, Michigan and East St. Louis. The opt word for this is globalization; the idea that being part of the greater world is for the greater good. Since the 1970's , both parties have gave away good paying factory jobs to places like :China, Korea, Vietnam, Shri Lanka and India. Many of these politicians have lined their own pockets doing so and all the while hurt our country.

President Donald Trump's Thursday night announcement that he and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19 has kicked up a range of realistically troubling scenarios as well as a host of conspiracy theories. The most prevalent of the latter seems to be the idea that the Trumps don't really have the new coronavirus and the president's announcement is some sort of cynical election ploy.

The #WalkAway Story I Didn’t Think I Had I never thought I would be writing this article. I never thought I would be telling people about how I walked away from the left. It’s not that I never thought I would leave the left; it’s because I never realized I was that far on the left! To be honest, I was never that political. In fact; I actively ran away from politics at every turn. I was of the mindset that all politicians are evil and that nothing I said or did would ever make a difference. In my mind; I knew what I knew and I felt how I felt, and that was the end of it.

Silver State Protest Mandates
The state of Nevada has been hit hard with Governor's Sisolak "Declaration of Emergency Directives", that seems to pick and choice on what would be acceptable and what wouldn't. Sisolak has been blaming the recent Trump Rallies, or as been said Trump "Protests", for wanting to take back 8.9 million CARE Relief from Douglas County, then decided not to "punish" the people in Douglas County for holding a Presidential rally at the Minden Airport. It's been reported that Sisolak blames Trump for holding the rally, but missed the fact that the citizens of Nevada were the ones that wanted the visit from the President. The rally was cancelled in Reno, which is part of Washoe County, by the Reno Airport Authority due to the Governor's Directive 021 to limit any gathering public to 50 people or less. For some reason the directive don't stop organizations like Black Lives Matter from protesting with more than 50 people many not wearing masks. In all fairness Black Lives Matter is not the only organization that holds protests in Nevada with more than 50 people, but for some reason the directive limits is enforced when the United State President comes and visits. Would this have happened with a Democratic President? How about if Joe Biden wanted to hold a rally in Nevada? Would he be subject to the same limitation? That Biden's rallies can only have 50 people or less?
