Rachel Reeves: Blistering Attack on Jeremy Corbyn.
Rachel's Rant on Corbyn.

The founding of "YourParty", the yet unnamed political party founded by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, has so far garnered 600,000 sign-ups. Some say "YourParty" could unseat Sir Keir Starmer in his seat. The party is offering an alternative to Labour, which many think has failed in its duty to protect and help those struck by the Tories. Instead, Labour has cut back on welfare and is using the same language about "Making Work Pay" as the Tories did, if not the same actual phrase. Nothing wrong with making work pay, but it is how Labour is going about it. To many Labour leftists, this Starmer-led government has been a massive disappointment. However, to add a caveat here, Starmer did warn before he was elected that if he became the denizen of N0. 10, there would be tough times ahead.
Voters, however, did not heed Starmer's warning; people voted for him and gave him a bigger landslide than his fellow Labour leader, Tony Blair. At the time, however, people were desperate to get rid of the Tories. So Labour were the beneficiaries of this. Since Sir Keir won the election, it's been a hard road for him and an even harder road for the country. I am not going to write off Starmer here. There have been other leaders who have gone through tough times, and they have come through. Whatever the fate of Starmer, be it inwardly or outwardly, for now, he is the Prime Minister. And in the political reality of real time, now that's what counts.
Labour is mindful of the threat "Your Party" could potentially pose. Chancellor Rachel Reeves has launched a blistering attack on Corbyn. Whether it's because she is scathing of Corbyn or genuinely worried cannot be said. However, Ms. Reeves said, "Jeremy Corbyn had 2 chances to become prime minister and I think the country gave their verdict, most recently in 2019 when Labour had its worst result since 1935", she said. Ms. Reeves continued, "If he wants to give it a go, be my guest. I think the voters will have the same reaction". Following it up with: "He tried to destroy my party".
The Unite Union is being asked, persuaded, cajoled, and told to fund "YourParty". And if this were to happen, it would enable Corbyn and Sultana to field candidates for town halls. Beyond that, their sights would be on further local elections. If the next local elections were successful for them, it would be a foundation for them to build on. In local elections and also in by-elections and the general election in 2029.
Rachel Reeves is correct to point out that JC had his chance to become Prime Minister. However, the phrase third time lucky has been said. This new party could be Mr. Corbyn's launch pad, along with Ms. Sultana. This time, Corbyn is free of Labour. Many of Corbyn's ilk have been kicked out of the party, purged, you might say, including Corbyn himself. Labour tried to destroy Corbyn in his seat, but they failed. Corbyn, as the MP for Islington, was returned as the MP for the area. Now he is the co-founder and co-leader of a party that will either rise or fall. A week, as someone once said, is a long time in politics.
In politics right now, with Reform UK on the right and "YourParty" on the left, these parties are challenging the political narrative. The Tories are on a downer thanks to Reform UK, and there is potential for "YourParty" to do the same to Labour. Yes, to quote a Chinese saying, we do indeed "Live in interesting times".
