Weird Laws of California
I am from California and I thought it would be fun to go over some weird laws they have. I love my home state but some of these laws I cannot wrap my brain around. Now I googled these laws and they were consistent across different websites but if I’m wrong, it’s googles fault. I will say this about California, it is definitely a woman. Expensive, finicky and firing off. Let’s move on and have some fun.

How a company you have never heard of will shape the next decade.
The biggest thing going in tech right now brings with it a promising expansion of our technological future coupled with yet another wave of trillions in cash. I’ll leave it to the tech writers to discuss all the potential wonders 5G wireless speeds promise and focus strictly on the money. There is an interesting story happening right now and its fairly low key given how much money we are talking about and who stands to make that money.

Trump Needs to Go!
I am not one to usually speak about politics or one to even know how the whole politics thing works. I have always hated sitting through my PIG, or Participation in Government, class in high school. It was the worst! I NEVER knew what was going on or what the terms meant or who any of the famous politicians we talked about were. But hey, I passed, so I must have picked up on some things.

Covid comes home to roost
Back in August I started writing about the situation surrounding Covid 19 and never finished. I wrote: The country has been creaking to life for over a month now but is still far from normal. Here in Manchester we've had new restrictions in place for a couple of weeks meaning two households aren't allowed to come together either at home or in a public building. Some venues are only just opening – theatres for example – but are doing so with all manner of precautions and restrictions in place. We ate at a restaurant for the first time the week before last – Croma our regular haunt – which was nice but again a weird experience. The staff, many of which we know, were all in masks; we weren't supposed to be with someone who wasn't in our household so we said that our guest was a lodger; and tables had been removed. We'd been to a pub a couple of weeks before that.

Review of 'The Trial of the Chicago Seven'
My wife and I saw The Trial of the Chicago Seven on Netflix on Saturday. Having lived through the real trial of the Chicago Seven (originally Eight) in 1969-1970, we thought there was a little too much fiction in this docu-drama to be 100% successful and effective. Nonetheless, it was powerful viewing.

The Biggest Missteps in Military History
War is – more often than that – a numbers game. Unless something unlikely happens, it’s usually the side with the numerical advantage that goes home with the victory, which has been especially true in history. Many modern weapons – like nukes – can easily make brute force obsolete, though that wasn’t the case for most of our history. If you took a bigger and more intimidating army to a battle, you were almost-always more likely to return victorious.

Hi everyone, I'm Charlie...oh also, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???
Let me start with this - I am NOT a writer. I write how I speak and sometimes that's not always pretty (I have the language and drinking ability of a Navy sailor on leave...thank you for your service). I will do my best to self-censor my language prior to posting, but sometimes you just have to drop a FUCK, ya know? I am just an everyday 25-year old broad out here trying to survive, thrive and figure out what the fuck is going on...does anyone know (asking for a friend)? Like everyone else, I am inside WFH and maybe no one will read these, actually I will be surprised if a single person reads this (hey, Mom...no wait, Mom if you're reading this I am so sorry I said "fuck"), but maybe it helps or brings a smile to one other human and that would be pretty awesome. So here it goes...

The Price Of Being Black In America: How Wall Street Makes Millions Off Of Police Brutality.
Very little surprises me these days when it comes to anything dealing with racism, white supremacy or white privilege. I’m even less surprised by the ruthlessness that is the American capitalistic economy and what it breeds in some people. But I must admit, when I first heard that Wall Street, big banks and wealthy investors were making hundreds of millions of dollars off of police brutality cases, it not only brought American capitalism to an all time low in my eyes but reminded me that this is really nothing new. The history of this country was built on stealing lands and stealing people to build the “American Dream.” That system has flourished for 401 years. Why should the fact that some white people continue to make money off of the backs and deaths of Black people be any surprise when there is a racist in the oval office?
