Emily Thornberry: Sunak Demeans Office of Prime Minister.
Sunak compares Labour to Criminal Gangs.

Emily Thornberry a Minister on Keir Starmer's front bench is not happy with Rishi Sunak. Sunak has accused the Labour Party of being little better than the criminal gangs who exploit migrants. Emily Thornberry said she normally respects the Office of the Prime Minister. However, Ms. Thornberry accused the Prime Minister of "demeaning" the role of Prime Minister. Usually, she went on, she doesn't normally speak out, but because of what Sunak said, she had little choice.
Labour is in opposition to Sunak's bill to allegedly tackle migrants and the criminals who exploit them. Labour says Sunak's plan would not deter migrants from crossing or stop criminal gangs. Labour if it gains power next year has plans of its own to stop the boats and tackle criminal gangs.
Sunak in a Tweet shared an article from 'The Daily Mail' referencing migration. With a footnote to the link he shared saying, "This is what we are up against".
Labour frontbencher Jim McMahon described Sunak thus: "When all is lost the only place to go is the gutter". Another Labour MP Chris Bryant said Sunak had "Plumbed new depths". Even some Tories were taken aback by Sunak's comparison of the Labour Party to criminal gangs. Founder of 'Conservative Home' Tim Montgomerie described Sunak's words as "Unbecoming of a Prime Minister". Sunak knows he is in danger of losing the next election big time. So, obviously, he is becoming increasingly desperate as Labour MPs and some in his own party have pointed out. Nothing is off the table now as we come closer and closer to the next general election. Sunak will use anything and say anything to keep the far-right in his party and at large happy and to save his political career. The gloves are off and you can expect dirty and insulting words from all political parties.
Sunak said the Labour Party of being a "Subset of lawyers" and said they were on the same side as the criminal gangs and illegal migrants. That they were "Propping up a system of exploitation that profits from getting people to the UK illegally". Some lawyers have been accused of using false facts so that migrants get to stay here permanently. Let's face it, lawyers, are in a 'win-win' situation. Whether they lose a case or not it is they who are laughing all the way to the bank.
With the Conservative's flagship policy of flying migrants to Rwanda being in tatters sticking them in barges is just a sticking plaster solution. Of course, as people of morals and goodwill, you have to be humanitarian to these desperate people. However, there are those who are illegals, criminals, or indeed, terrorists. How quickly the government will sort out who is bona fide and who is not cannot be said. In the meantime, these barges with their facilities are, to say the least basic. However, they must be better than the countries these people have come from. Certainly, better than the camps they have lived in in northern France.
Despite the shenanigans of welcoming migrants or not, a solution must be forthcoming for all concerned. A solution for illegal/legal migrants and to stem the tide of people making dangerous journeys in unseaworthy craft. A solution to tackle and eliminate the criminal gangs who make money from the misery of these people.
Migration and immigration have always been a controversial issue in the UK. Whether it was the 'Rivers of Blood' speech by Enoch Powell or the Anti-EU jibes of Nigel Farage. Expect migration and immigration to be 0nce more of a hot topic in the run-up to next year's general election.
