Thursday, 25 April 2023 I've written several news pieces with the help of research that is always included within the story. However after reading news in 30 African countries I couldn't help but notice one media giant writes in several countries.

*Neuro-Spicy, for those unaware, is a term coined when searching for an alternative to the "Functioning" labels, where someone compared the degree to which a person was affected by Autism, ADHD or other conditions to the spice-level warnings on a menu. I'm usually about a 2-chilli, in that there's a noticiable effect on my daily life but it's usually under control. In situations like the one described in this story, I can drop to a 3- or 4-chilli rating, where I can't talk and recovery time is needed. 5-chilli rated moments - where you're crying and screaming for a milk jug/Autistic Burnout or Meltdown - are rare, but they happen.

The Day My Reality Changed
On February 2nd 2019, I experienced a traumatic event that changed a lot about the way I live and how I take care of myself. Before this event occurred I used to have a very unhealthy diet and not take much care of myself in other ways as well, I got to the point where I was drinking up to two two liters of soda a day, and was also eating pretty unhealthy food. I used to not care about what I was putting in my body or how processed certain foods were and I would eat or drink it regardless of how bad the stuff was for me, and I also didn't really exercise much back then. Now my diet is much different and I also feel like I take better care of myself to the extent that I am able to.

Dear Mama, Every morning I wake up to your loud shrilly voice screaming my name. It never gets easier, even after sixteen years. But today, as I sit here with a swollen shoulder from your bamboo cane, I can't help but wonder if God hears our cries.
