Stand On The Shores Of Forever

Watching The Waves Coming In

Introduction

This could have been a stream-of-consciousness entry for the Vocal "Unfiltered" Challenge but while it is nothing but stream-of-consciousness I want it to be just a calming piece for anyone who drops into it. Everyday life can put a lot of pressure on all of us, and if I can take a little of that away, then I will have succeeded with these words.

I included an eight-hour wave YouTube video (there are a lot on the channel) so I hope you can play it as you read (though I don't expect you to take eight hours).

Please let me know if this has helped by leaving a comment.

Stand On The Shores Of Forever

To be alone on a beach of sand and shingle, and look out over the water.

Is it a lake, a sea, or a deep ocean?

It doesn't really matter as I watch and hear the waves as they roll in and gently caress the shore. Would you like to share this with me?

The wind blows gently and the sun is shining. Back from the beach are trees, a small wood and I can hear the leaves rustling as the breeze makes its way through these trees.

But I am standing here, alone, looking toward the horizon, where the waves on this water seem to begin their journey before arriving to meet the spot of land where I am standing.

I wonder if this is real or just a dream, either way, it is soothing and relaxing, allowing my mind to find peace. I do not have to worry about anything, and that is flowing through my body to my fingers and toes and out into the ether.

I feel one with nature and with the Earth, and feel that I truly belong here.

Nothing changes, but this is not boredom, this is calm and relaxation. It is a renewal for my body, spirit and heart.

I know I will return to reality and the real world at some point, but I will be totally replenished and able to deal with life.

Listen.

Hear the waves and the breeze.

My mind is emptied, free to be my unique self.

There is no one here but me, enjoying every moment.

Not one moment will be remembered but this whole exerience will stay with me forever, and I know that whenever I need to, I can come back and become myself once more.

Although every wave that rolls in, crested with foam, seems the same, each one is a new one, the shape of the water renewed once more, along with the sounds that come with it.

The sounds of the waves and the breeze in the trees create nature's melody over and over every moment of the day.

I stand on this shore looking out at Forever represented and created by the body of water, ever moving influenced by the Moon, the Earth and the Wind, and I see Forever changing as I watch and let it flow into my mind.

I do not understand the workings of this magic, but I know that it is washing over and through me to replenish my mind and body.

I am taking my time to heal before I return, and I am grateful that when I return I will be truly me once more.

This is a wonderful place that you should all come to whenever you feel you need to recharge and replenish your soul.

It helps me every time I come here, and I know it can help you.

Thank you for reading my wonderful friends.

This has beautiful and calming imagery to it. It's as though the reader is right there beside you on the shore, taking in the peacefulness. Well done.
