How to Protect Your Mental Health and Wellbeing. Top Story - October 2021.
We’ve become slaves to our gadgets. Every hobby is now seen as a potential side hustle and money-making machine. We no longer do things for the sake of enjoyment. If you’re not monetising a skill you’re seen as if you’re an alien.

The Case for: Hand Sewing
Not to detract from the purpose and need for a sewing machine, but hand sewing is a quiet place of concentration that just cannot be found at the machine. Instead of frustration from bobbins and broken needles, there is just the work. Pure and simple and full of purpose.

"Hey, Fellow Vocalites; it's your buddy, Kent. How are you doing today...?" No; HOW are you doing today? ...You don't even owe me (or anyone else, for that matter) the most honest answer to that question in a given moment. It can be awkward enough to honestly pinpoint "how you're doing" (mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically) in the nanoseconds between hearing the question until an answer is expected. It wasn't until my late teenage years approaching early adulthood that the mania took control of my life. The depression was in the background of my life story that was much less detrimental to my relationships whether it been friends or romantic partners since I was generally still able to articulate rational grounded thoughts.

Late Night Radio
“FOUR minutes past two – good evening to all the lovely people who can’t sleep or are travelling at this ungodly time of the night. I sympathize with each and every one of you – but not enough to ask you to tune out. You know who I am by now, I’m sure. The show’s intro screams everything you need to know. Today’s show is going to be a little bit different than most. I understand that I – and most other RJs say this every time – but hopefully I’ll be able to follow through on this particular occasion. Kicking it off with Kris Jamie; here’s Still Unable; I’ve been playing this unashamedly for days now – and I’m not going to stop.”
