Clouds: a story on Mental Health and a better outlook on it
Mental Health Awareness Wakening

As some people like to consider them "off days", and most people do, what most people don't discover is the fact these off days are important moments in mental health that we have normalized to push away. But how do we change that?
These "off days" that seem to appear seem to be the days of the week that seem to feel worse from the rest. Whether its physically or mentally. But whats a better way to express these days? Consider everyone around you walked around with clouds over their heads. You would see a group of people in laughter with tears rolling down their eyes and hands on their stomachs to get that uncontrollable urge of happiness out of them. While above, the cloud awaits. Yellow, sunny, fluffy and bright. But as u turn and walk u see a woman storm out of a building with tears rolling down her face, but these aren't the same tears as the happy clouds, but these are the form of rain before a thunderstorm. Behind her walks a group of males walking around a particular dude, shaking and congratulating him. They all have basic, white, clouds. She lost the promotion. And lets say and she goes to get into her car, her keys drop all the way under the car, where the curb is the way, so shes forced to bend all the way down on a public sidewalk to get them. By this time, her cloud has a darker grey color and appears to be becoming gloomier and gloomier by the minute. As she finally gets the keys, she gets up to see her new work pants are now ruined. As she goes to dust them off, she gets into her car, turns on the engine, to her nothing but sputter. She tries over and over again until finally, she gives up. Her car battery is dead. The thunder begins to form. She calls for a tow truck and waits. When he finally arrives, he explains she cannot give him a ride, because their is no room. Shes forced to walk. Her cloud becomes so dark it almost becomes black. As she begins to walk, by herself, in the dark, she feels a drop. And another. And another. Then a pour. It begins to rain. She looks up, then slowly looks down. She begins to bawl and drops to her knees. Her cloud is bigger and darker then ever with the biggest storm you've ever seen. After what seems like forever, she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns, its the man she lost her promotion. He explains how he feels it wasn't fair what they did to her, and he wishes he could have control over it, but he doesn't. So instead he would like to invite her to be his assistant. His cloud is a soft, white, fluffy and almost perfect cloud. Her dark, grey, stormy cloud begins to dissolve, and slowly starts to form into his. Their, they began to stand, hand in hand, as they're clouds begin to gaze. They're identical. Two clouds, not to sunny, like dying of laughter, tears rolling down your face, holding onto your stomach laughter, but not cloudy, like loosing the promotion, dropping your keys, ruining your new pants, and walking home in the rain type of cloudy. Just, normal.
As u can see, there's different ways to take views on mental health. So the next time you're in a scenario where you feel as though you're at your worst mentally, remember your cloud, and remind yourself of what you can do to change it, whether its sunny, or just back to normal, there's always other options, then just another stormy day.
