Stranded Without Gods, POEM 5

I want to see stars align for me like they once did

When I was younger all it took was a gaze

My eyes manifested dragons, they spewed ink into the sky

It was that wonder that made the heavens open up for me

I felt in-touch with angels, life experience had yet tainted my reach

So small, but I could bound across landscapes like the hulk

All it took was a little imagination and a urning to discover

When did it dissipate?

When did my bound become a one legged attempt across mere feet?

When did curiosity become caution?

When did ink in my sky become smudges under my left palm?

sad poetry
