In this world, even the best things eventually fade. The most beautiful love can end in discord; the most cherished person may eventually leave; the most lively gatherings come to an end; and the most profound memories eventually dim. Even the most beautiful dreams eventually awaken.

If someone is truly yours, never let them go. But don't force someone to stay, no matter how perfect they seem; holding on will only breed resentment. Never cling to what should be released, and never release what should be cherished.

Letting go is the path to moving forward.

The good and the bad have passed; the happiness and the misfortune are over.

Life's encounters are like the rain outside the window: it pours, it drenches, it passes, and it fades. Keep the good moments of the past deep in your heart, and leave the sadness behind you, without lingering or resentment.

The past is the past. That person, that event, that feeling—no matter how much you cherish it—is nothing but a passing cloud. Learn to let go. Life always moves toward tomorrow through a series of goodbyes.
