Tiny feet,
So small, so sweet,
Has brought me comfort still.
The little sounds,
So light, so bright,
Into my heart you fill.
When the days are short,
And the nights get long,
I will gaze upon your face.
Into the dark,
my restless heart
I remember our happy place.
Those tiny feet,
So small, so sweet,
Carrying on with grace.
With each new day,
And each day after,
Into a happy place.
Into the world,
and maybe beyond,
Aim for the stars and farther.
They're built to push on,
No matter what's gone,
Treading the still waters,
They will carry you on,
Long after I'm gone,
They will carry you on,
Into the long night's cold song.
