Very good, love the imagery.
An acrostic AND a limerick, that's clever 😁😁
Superb! You also taught me a new word with grippe! :) 🌸
Loved reading this poem, using old-fashioned wording to create a poetic visionary story. Brilliant.
I loved the colorful image, the theme, the whole thing!!!
It's funny to me I am from rural Appalachia, and I have actually heard of the word "grippe". My granny used to say to us kids when we were out playing in the cold "You young'uns are going to catch grippe" Many of the older folks where I came from used this word. Now days you never hear of it.
Sorry to say I had to look up "grippe" - my vocabulary is shameful. 😂 Wonderful work as always, MC 💛 "Well-wrought" as the great Rommi below likes to say, and he's right.
Well-wrought! International trade has ever been the spreader of dis-ease, in more ways than one, I think, especially where it is more akin to plunder!
I had to Google grippe and hahahahahahaha I don't know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't flu. Oh well, he deserved that, lol
I actually really like the picture AI created, and usually I don't like AI! Incredible poem, Combs! 💝🌟
Oh no! I sense a song from "Guys & Dolls" about to begin!
I must be old because I heard of the flu being called the grippe. I don't know where I heard it, but I have heard of it. Nicely Done!!!
Singapore is an island that grew on that, literally. We wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for Sir Stamford Raffles and spice traders. A cool one!
I enjoyed this little tale of comeuppance. Thanks for brightening my day.
Spicy karma! Well done.
Ha! Never heard of the flu or a sickness being called grippe. Nicely done, Mother!
