A Villanelle Inspired By The Series "Britannia"
Introduction
I started watching the series Britannia and fell in love because it was the best earth magic TV series since Robin of Sherwood in the eighties. David Morrisey ad a Roman General in his best "ultimate bastard" mode and McKenzie Crook and two Druids, one a violent malevolent goth and one a violent malevolent non-goth.
There is lots of violence, sex and funny bits, and that is what inspired this villanelle. The music is brilliant too, mostly, appropriately sixties psychedelia and Season Two's theme is "Season of the Witch" by Donovan Leitch although there are some unidentified covers.

I immediately thought of the Donovan song with your title. (I was always a fan of Arthurian tales. My younger brother and I would watch "Excalibur" and I read the Welsh folktales in college.) Nice poetic weaving on your part!
