The Legend of Fromm
A tribute to fantasy, fact, and a fine friend — for Matthew Fromm
Fromm the moment
I read the first thing
I read by the elven warrior,
I was struck by his commitment
to his craft and care for facts.
I knew he was a writer to watch.
I knew he was a writer to befriend.
I knew I could learn so much Fromm him.
~
Fromm his innate understanding of historical fiction
to his wildly creative fantastical mind,
he wields literary power.
Beyond the flames of dragons, quests,
and the finer points of the past.
some truly exceptional poetic works
come forth Fromm his digital and physical pen.
~
Fromm one procrastinator to another,
I quote the great and faithful Sam Gamgee:
"It's the job that's never started as takes longest to finish."

Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes: Further to my "Ego of Deeming" tribute to my Vocal/writer/friend chum, Rachel Deeming, another good friend, one Matthew Fromm suggested that as Rachel got one, him and Stephen (A. Roddewig) should get one too. So, that's what the above is - my little tribute to the Frommster.
Check out the man, the myth, the leg end's stuff here:

Jokes on you all, I’ve heard all the puns before!!
The bromance is off the chart! It's always so good to see people connect here on Vocal. I've never read anything Fromm the Fromm (it's tricky as it is to keep up with reads, lol). But you and D.K. have spoken highly about him, so I can only assume his legendary status is well earned. I hope he returns the favour with a Paul Poem. Something about stew(ing) art, maybe? Idk how to do good puns, lol. Also, I hope you do a poem for D.K. after Stephen! From what I've seen, you two are good friends who greatly appreciate each others work.
I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of hyphens used in mine 😉 Could dig up some old insults hurled at me from middle school if you need an extra boost of inspiration. In the meantime, all praise to the mighty Matt. Stand by for his first-ever audio adaptation, published on the global network of independent fiction podcasting we all know and love.
Fromm the bottom of my heart, I thought this was brill……
Nicely done, Paul
I love how this stemmed Fromm the first instalment hehehehehee!
Truly, Sam is wise. This is great 😀
These have been fun to read :)
Epic! As it ought to be for Matthew! Cleverly wrought, Paul!
this story came Fromm the heart
Loving this new little series, Paul!!
And Fromm the bottom of my heart, this was a heartwarming tribute! 😀
Don't really know Fromm, some people will drop a read...don't remember, but great for you.
Love this and I totally agree about "Fromm!"
Hear, hear. Cry it to the world. Mr. Fromm is a talent to watch for. I do believe we shall see his fantasy world in bookstores near you soon. Well said Paul
Nice. I prefer mine.
What a great way to honor him. Your poem is a great one and that quote from Sam Gamgee is one for all to remember. By the way I just finished reading 'The Lord of the Rings' for the fourth time. Good job.
Brought a tear to my heretical eye. You’re a good one Paul, even if you’re Scottish…..
