The Armadillo and I

They are born gracious

By Samantha CorralPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

A timid light protrudes into my bedroom through the side window.

The motion sensor detects meandering life.

Curiosity evokes, and thus I raise the blinds to behold my visitor.

An armadillo trods about and looks down in search of food.

Its beguiling spirit provokes me to go outside.

Alas, it scurries off when I attempt to shorten the distance.

The armadillo would surprise me habitually.

Each time, I felt jubilant.

My loneliness disappears, and

monotony ruptures when the armadillo visits me.

What a charming little creature!

For the armadillo's visitations, I am indebted.

However, more so for whatever heeded my yearning for company

and sent the armadillo my way.
