Turbulent Vivacity

Luminescence exists inside, but falters

Unbeknownst to me,

I afford an uncouth composer all my consciousness

when he boasts about his unyielding sage.

He is arrogant.

He reminds me of someone else I know.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

My intuition hint there's a scheme in progress.

He's indulgent and unapologetic about it.

It may be his hunger for festivities,

or his critical nature

but he reminds me of someone else I know.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

When he left us to go out,

palpable emptiness would ignite in me.

His absence was tangible.

I yearned for his presence

yet resented him for leaving to begin with.

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

I wish I could resist

for my own sake.

however, it's no use

because you remind me too much of someone else I know whom I love and detest.
