The blue shirt
But there was a shade which I still could wear It was my old friend the blue……….. Then dawned the white and woolly ones Just as winter yawned. And my hungry hands felt the desperate need Of- a magical shopping wand! But with all my spendings , My balance had crashed down. Those dazzling shirts which had once gifted me the smiles Had now cursed me with a forehead frown. And in the coldness of winter, When I was busy with my futile whinings, I remembered a shade-a shirt Which I could wear in desperate timings. ‘The shirt’ with the shade of that blue Always ‘the shirt’- the very best I wore it in all seasons while deceived me the rest And of course I wore it again and again. And with frequent use my shirt got frayed. And yet when my wardrobe witnessed new entries, This was one shirt which always stayed.
