social commentary
There's a rich history of poetry serving as social commentary, intended to inspire calls to action.
I Had A Dream
I had a dream that I didn’t live a life with a mind in a constant war with paranoia. I could easily access the history of my lineage, without emptying my pockets and questioning how much of this information was falsified to further strip me away from who I am.

It is Still not Write to Drink and Drive
Before you venture on to read this poem, I wanted to clarify that this is more or less a remixed version of an earlier poem that I wrote entitled "It is Never Write to Drink and Drive." For whatever reason, I could not let the ideas in that poem go. I felt confident enough to publish it, but I kept going back to edit it as I did not have the willpower to leave it alone. Those who are poets can sympathize. I'm hoping that, by doing a different version, I'll finally be able to scratch the itch this poem has been causing me to feel. Anyway, Enjoy!
