To all the anonymous folks who have read my stories

From within my dreams, I say...Thank you all very much! The not so much anonymous as well.

Within my dreams, vague shadows surround me

Much like a mystery within a Masquerade Ball

I know not who you are

I reach out my hands to touch you

Yet somehow, within these shadows you stay hidden

Do you not wish to be known

I guess not, hence the masks

As I tiptoe closer, your likenesses, they evaporate

Like early morning's dewy fog

The closer I get, the farther you seem to be

Don't go, I whisper and admonish

I just wanted to let you know

That truly, I do love you so

For taking that momentary, most significant minute

To stop and inhale my delicate bloom

A story that I planted in the dark, a little afraid

That though I used my tears to water the roots

They still may stay hidden, never to be read

Then you, like the nourishing sunlight

Shone a tiny spark upon the words

Oh joy! My story grew tall and strong

The most lovely flower ever seen, bloomed

And blossomed into a most wonderous thing

Yet, the fog, it keeps on lifting

Still you are disappearing from my sight

Thank you, thank you for caring!

I shout into the void left by your departure

"You are most welcome.....just do us a favor"

The voices echo from within the shadows

Now almost a distant memory as the fog fades away

"Surely I will". I replied, as I try my best to hear the words

"Take the time to read, the same as we have done,

To read some stories of others who need to bloom

Add a drop of water and a sliver of sunlight

To someone else's day. Bye for now"!

"I always do". I shouted

As you slip away!

I awaken refreshed. Ready to write new stories

Oh yes. I shall also add drops of water and sunlight

On many a story today!
