Masked Tears Behind the smile I hide, shadows press heavy on me. The laughter is borrowed, the joy is only a shell. I wear this mask each day,
Painted Eyes, False Smiles Painted eyes in mirrors, they shine but do not see. The lashes long and perfect, yet empty in their gaze.
Driving Back to You The road is long and winding, its lights are far ahead. I keep my hands upon the wheel, and drive back into time.
Hurrying Our Love Too Fast, Too Soon We hurried when we met, like fire across dry grass. Our hearts were wild with longing,

I Ruined the Cake I ruined the cake today, its edges black with smoke. The sweetness turned to bitter, the sugar into ash.
