Exchange
I hear you, your words and confusion fully in exchange without a true purpose and expressions of ill feelings and gaps between time that makes no sense. I hear your hurts, distance from your truth, unexplained knowing that somehow what you do and feel aren't leveling up. I hear your exchange of colors fused with delight, swirl of color sherbet, mixed..........within our unconscious mind. Our hopes, dreams, awaites our full attention. Silence allows the flow of blue to whisper those sweet nothings in between the beats of sound, while resting before we speak. Our hearts radiance the color of green, traveling at a distance that we have not become aware of due to our separate not inclusive thoughts and ways of being. With our hearts open, we are given more to express through unconditional love while observing our purpose unfold as an account of imaginary or real beings and events told for entertainemnet within our timeline. As we travel with the color red, we recognized our life as expanding allowing us to raise up off our child's knees and stand fully in wholeness, balance and vibrations.

Purple
My name is Kat Magill. I am a poet out of Los Angeles. I am excited to share this work with you. This poem was inspired by my daughter’s response to the question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” She said, “the color purple.” At first I laughed but quickly realized how liberated her answer was. She was not confined to the belief that she must fit inside any pre-made box. Instead she could turn into the very color that brought her joy and share that happiness with the world. Purple reminds me to never lose the resilience and imagination I had to dream bigger and change the world while doing so.
