I have been writing about my dad popular Latvian poet and writer Eriks Raisters. My dad’s life in his homeland Latvia was interrupted by WW II and he had to go into exile. That is never easy, especially for a poetic soul. Since he died in New York in 1967 he never got to return home and his poetic voice was stilled.
