Choices Vs. Feelings

The War Between What You Feel and What You Know

Again,

here we are—

the gut speaking against the heart

like foes on the same team,

with opposite agendas.

“I love you” spreads across every room,

but the choice to act on those words

differs enormously.

Fighting the feeling of what we already know

is the crossroad—

where we either fail

or become brave enough

to voice our truth.

The body is fooled

by what feels good.

Often.

Adultery (or adulation)

is led by temptation—

that quiet voice whispering:

just do,

instead of

think it through.

Once temptation is fulfilled,

guilt floods the body—

teaching us the value

of a thought process.

Remind yourself

of what you know

whenever hesitation creeps in.

Because chasing what feels good

creates a cycle

of temporary things.

Those we love

make us feel

an unexplainable abundance—

but love is chosen

through the deeper knowing

that our blood,

our spirit,

is intertwined eternally.

Evil is clever.

It grooms our ego

in the best ways,

alluring us away

from everlasting love

and true success.

Defeat the false guide to doom.

Because the fight—

the true fight—

between choice and feeling

begins

once your strength of belief

falls into limbo.
