Change. The unwanted epiphany. The glossing over past choices of what could I and what I didn’t I? It is the breaking of the soul.
Only narcissists get upset When called out on their trash I’m out here chasing my dreams And they selling me nightmares
We had the magic You had the lies I had the tears We said goodbye Feet dragging in this dance From first to second chances
All lies beget lies The darkness is where your truth resides Next to my heartbeat You’ve become the air I breathe Endless cycles of us
In the silent halls of farewells passed, Where shadows stretch and moments last, There lies a map the heart must try— The solemn geometry of goodbye.
