fact or fiction
Is it fact or merely fiction? Fact or Fiction explores the myths and beliefs we hold about what makes a good poem and the poetry rules that were made to be broken.
From Across The Room
It started like a normal day then I spotted her from across the way. Our eyes locked for a what seemed like forever. Then the gaze grew deeper, and my hands began to sweat as my feet started to move, I felt a rush come over me my heart fell into a lub dub groove. Faster and faster, we grew closer with this I had no choice to choose. Stricken with the fever as some like to say. Love was coming quickly towards my way. Interestingly enough I welcomed it to come I pictured dating, courting, and marriage in the near. I didn’t even know her name did it matter she was love just the same. To think it all started with a look from across the room it was just the same as being swept away by a gorgeous tempting broom. Our eyes never unlocked from the power of the stare it was as if I could feel her breath on my lips pushing through the crowd, we became near. An introduction at last and pleasantries abroad this was ordained by God our life moving forward.

Guardian
Guardian From the depths of my soul beyond the reaches of humanity time and space do I reflect through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear not for there are more mischievous things out there which are not of my understanding. I feel a heart of stone crushing crumbling to my last breath. Evil lurks to creep in undoubtedly undeniably diabolic.
