Soul Writers We Are
Born to tall tales and freedom.
From the furthest reaches of our deep vast souls;
We write to keep you static from the addictive endless thumb scrolls.
We’ll tell you tales that may cause your heart to race.
Divulge secrets much to our disgrace.
You may think that you know us from all our written rhymes.
But you really don’t know the person behind those lines.
Sabotaging.
Soul searching.
Reaching out and gripping your sight.
We are the ones to say the things you dare to say,
We are the ones who write.
And we will hold our heads between our palms,
When we worry how it all will be read.
And rejoice or dismay
When you say,
It couldn’t have been better said.
So collapse into these lines
As the words chase you down to get you lost.
Grip tightly to the meaning;
How it all inspires you
Is what really matters most.
