SOMETIMES

...

Top Story - January 2025

Sometimes I feel like tying the the grayest cloud to a string like a kite and reel it down to earth so I can drown in my personal storms.

Feel the lighting singe my skin, the wild wind yanking at my scalp, and hear the thunder cracking, rippling in my ear forever.

Sometimes.

Only sometimes.

Other times, I wish of building a bomb the size of the sky and blowing up the world with everything around it.

Bust the clouds, like beachballs, tear apart the rainbows until they're useless strips, set the sun on fire, and scream and shout my lungs raw as the world crackles and hisses turning into a universe of flames.

Because I'm sick and tired, so sick and tired of chasing life with a short-handled net, tired of trying to pin down a shadow with a needle and paint it a different shade.

I no longer have the energy to trap every heart whisper and force it into a screaming voice people would hear.

I no longer try tying sun rays into shoelace holes and walk it's neon shadows forever.

I'm so done.

So over the bridges that bring you back to where you started from with yet another failed baggage burdening your back.

Sometimes.

Only sometimes.

Other times, most times I don't feel anything at all.

I am totally floored not only by the imagery and the energy in this, but by the emotional tie it invokes. It makes you visualize deep and unrequited angst. I LOVE this! 🥰

Sometimes life feels like it's just too much to handle, doesn't it? But then, other times, we just have to keep going, even when it feels like we’re lost in the storm.

Set potent poem - this is really great - Because I'm sick and tired, so sick and tired of chasing life with a short-handled net, tired of trying to pin down a shadow with a needle and paint it a different shade. Super job😍
