Oh boy this is a good one. Congratulations on the well-deserved Runner Up. It packs so much punch for a haiku. There's no need to quote anything because the entire thing is fantastic. Oh hell, "whispering moonlight," though already pointed out by other readers is just a powerful phrase. I read it while I was looking at the photo and was reminded of the way moonlight reflects on water...in whispers. Beautiful.

Hi Cc ~ No you never 'Lost' Dreams. I've been down for a few months - forgot to get my vaccination for 'Old Age' but I've always enjoyed your 'ecletic' unique stories; especially this light one. A Favor: I know that you are a super follower of our Rachel; I see your thoughtful comments all the time. Please leave a comment on her 'Ode to Rachel Deeming' Post. The year-long writings are so impressive. I know she would appreciate the gesture from you. Thank you, - Jk.in.l.a -

I like that you depicted the moonlight as a whisper, as I look at the cover photo, the light looked like what a whisper would be if it was electromagnetic. It also makes me think of how we tip toe around the house trying not to wake anyone, how the moon calms us and slows things down by its mere appearance. Soliloquy is such a pretty word too, great word choice. I just went and listened to its pronunciation. I like too how the similar sounding words followed after each other, ~moonlight then night~ 👌🏽

A starry and moonlit night certainly do bring dreams to souls, almost magically. Nailed it!

"haunting" - such a fitting word to use here!
