Sea of Friends

A Sonnet by: Patrick Price

By Patrick PricePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Treacherous waves, slamming at the galley

Skeletons fired cursed shots at the hull

A puny little sloop cannot get free

Survival slim, stressful as water fills

From the shadows, a brigantine starboard

How could this possibly get any worse

Another galleon, blocking sea forward

Symphony of cannons, sing in the air

The choir shattering the skeleton force

Skeleton ship dipping in the water

Reinforcements protect the sloop, of course

Cursed galleon sinks, caused by a blunder

Brig and galley, were absolute godsends

Together sailing unknown seas as friends
