Putins War
Why? Please end this now before we all die with the earth

Putins War
Bloody war, why do they want it?
Men in high rooms with dry lips,
speak of glory while boys fall.
They never hear the last breath.
Fields once green, turned black with fire.
Mothers wait with folded hands,
names carved into stone too soon.
Prayers float, but never return.
They call it honor, they call it peace.
But peace does not grow from graves.
Blood does not water the seed.
Tears do not build a home.
The earth groans with every step.
The sky hides behind smoke.
Children learn fear before love.
And still the drums keep beating.
Tell me, who asks for this war?
Not the farmer, not the child.
Not the woman with empty arms.
Not the friend who buries the friend.
Bloody war, why do they want it?
When silence holds more power,
when a hand could heal the wound.
But they choose the gun instead.

Very well written, Matie. Your words ask questions and echo warnings like in these lines: "But peace does not grow from graves. Blood does not water the seed. Tears do not build a home."
Totally agree with you on this one Miss Marie. War if you really think about it does not really solve anything. Right. Good job.
