Please Remember
Some Of Our Friends Are Away
Introduction
Many of our Vocal friends are going through hard times for one reason or another. Please don't forget them, they are still part of our community and they will come back to share their creations with us and we will be so happy to welcome them back with open arms.
This is a sonnet for them and every friend who needs to take down time away from creation and social media to repair their soul and spirit and recuperate.
I will not name anyone, but you probably know who this is for at this point in time, but in future, this will be for others and maybe even me. People assume that I am indestructible, but I am anything but.
The music I have chosen is Carole King's "You've Got A Friend".
I also included my Facebook Friend Pete Wylie's song "Remember" because we remember our friends and it is a truly great song, and I included Pete's take on "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory"

The Shape Of Poetry
Introduction When I read poems, while I love words, rhythm and flow, I also sometimes enjoy the form of the poem which sometimes reminds me of an icicle, a knife or flowing water, without actually looking at the words in the poem.

A Dart at Dusk
Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of usβ¦ my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the dayβs oppressive heat. His typical stumbling and staggering along β apace with a sloth β has turned into trip-trapping, high-stepping, almost skipping along.

This is very heartfelt, and that first song you chose is also one I dedicated to a friend I met on a holiday site when we were owners, and he worked there. He became ill and he had to give up work. I really miss my friend and I can relate to all those in the same boat whether friends or family. Thankyou for writing this beautiful top story.

Yes...sometimes we just need to take a break or are forced to by circumstance. There are several creators I've been missing but I know they will come back when/if they're ready. Thank you for this wonderfully encouraging piece. Love it!
